You are doing a great job on this story. I 3was fearful of a complete Mary sue with harry being all powerful and defeating the dark lord first time out, with full knowledge of how to do it. You have done a great job. I might suggest a little more explanation of how the devices draw from magic to power them. Just by saying with out giving a reason almost falls Mary sue in my opinion.
