Owch. Both Hinata and Shino are believable and heart-breaking. The clinical, gory details ("blood" + "esophagus" = eeek!) somehow make the scene even more poignant. I object slightly to Shino calling Hinata "weak," since he knows just how hard she tries (Exhibit A: the anime arc when she develops her ultimate defense jutsu, with Shino being the only one knowing), but if you're talking about a purely objective, skills-based sense, then it holds true. Anyways, nice job on an oft-ignored character.
