I agree with some of the other reviewers, it seems to me more likely that Harry's mentors would have simply killed Lucius and washed their hands of him. Perhaps they wanted to set a different example for Harry? Do you think the cruciatus curse hurts more when applied to the testes? It is sort of uncomfortable to contemplate. Thanks for writing. W.
