If Bagnold is the minister, why is Crouch calling the shots? Why is she bowing and kowtowing to him? She should be telling him what to do, not asking him what to do or meekly offering suggestions. She would've ordered Crouch to set a trial date a long time ago.
Interesting trial with Wormtail. Different, but perhaps it could've gone that way. The question is would the Wizengamot put that much confidence in Veritaserum -- many stories suggest not. I'm not sure about that. Umbitch put enough faith in it in Book 5.
