it's easy to relate to viola. sometimes you loathe someone so much you'd rather walk than get in the car. and when the person leaves you and it occurs you that you're really gonna have to walk, you hate that person even more. so the one with the car is sort of in a damned if i will, damned if i won't type of situation.
in the first chapter, viola tried to explain why she couldn't stand gerard but it just made me feel like she doesn't even know why she hates him so much. ok, she did list a few things she disliked about him but i think she exaggerates a lot. or maybe she's been loathing him for so long she's just used to it and forgot why she disliked him to begin with. and comes up with things like him drawing. oh how annoying.
what if gerard intimidates her? it's hard to say, i don't know her all that well yet. it's hard to explain her behavior. and his aswell... maybe we'll get there:)
Author's response
I think you got it right, sometimes we hate a person and as time goes by we like hate the symptoms but not the cause...I hope I made any sense.
