Domination

I still vote for Daphne over just about anyone else from Harry's year, except perhaps Tracey.

Think about it, the named females in Harry's year are (and I may be missing a couple): Hermione Granger, Lavender Brown, Parvati Patil, Padma Patil, Mandy Brocklehurst, Susan Bones, Hannah Abbot, Pansy Parkinson, Millicent Bulstrode, Daphne Greengrass and Tracey Davis. We get in-canon pictures of every single one of those girls except for Daphne and Tracey. It's like Rowling threw them in but then promptly forgot about them. Greengrass, especially, is such a sideline character. Davis is mentioned during the sorting in SS, but Greengrass is not. So, I automatically am slightly more approving of any story where the author has a decent understanding of the English language, syntax and includes Daphne Greengrass as a character (preferably a core character in the story).

Also, while Pansy may have once been a potential switch, after being gang-raped by her family, she probably would not be that confident or domineering now, unless she got some serious counseling and closure.

So I don't see Pansy as a switch, but I would be much appreciative if you would include Daphne.

Author's response

Daphne is almost a definite lock to be in later. I loves using her for a HarrySlytherin connection.
