The Bulldog and the Archer

Sniffles....... that was just beautiful. This has been one of the best stories that I have ever read. The moment when May's father finally understood what an idiot he had been was just right! And the final scene with Charlie and May was perfect. Hmmmm....did Lord Amyras and Prof. Dumbledore have a premonittion that May and Charlie would need that scarab someday? Is that why they made certain that both halves were reunited? It's a good thing Prof. Dumbledore will be telling Molly and Arthur about what happend. He's about the only person who can keep her from haring off to the preserve and having a fit! This story has been a joy to read from the very beginning, and I hope (crossing fingers) that you will tell other stories set in this alternate reality. My thanks and best wishes to you, and you have created a world that I'll revisit happily. Take care now! (smiles and waves)

Author's response

Teresa,

Thank you so much for your devotion to this story of mine, and for all of the feedback you have given to me.

Aramys and Dumbledore did not really plan anything mutually, but they are the types that always seem to be in the right place when needed, to nudge someone in the right direction.

Due to what happens to Dumbledore at the end of HBP, I have not resolved yet whether he ever actually ever tells Molly and Arthur about Charlie. I do know that Arthur only finds out about Mayumi during the following summer, as written about in the story, "Death is in the Dark". Were Albus try to explain to them both that their son was saved from becoming a human french fry, he would have to explain why Charlie still lived. No, Dumbledore likes his secrets too much. And Lord Aramys, well, even the Wizarding world in general isn't prepared to deal with the truth of who he actually is.

(Waving back) Thanks again, Teresa! Cya!
