While not related specifically to this story, I have sometimes wondered about what Viking influences there would have been in the British Wizarding World. You've shown considerable Druidic influence in different stories, as well as ancient Mediterranean and Middle East, but nothing I recognize as Norse invader/settler. I would have thought that around the time of Hogwarts' founding there, Vikings would still be current events.

And you are the author I figure is most likely to come up with something about that both interesting and plausible. :-)
