I'm winded! Damn, that was intense. I can't believe i haven't seen this story before, but now i've read it all in one go, right until the dreadful moment where i searched for the Next-link, and there was none. I even clicked the white space a few times, just in case. You do write a delightfully semi-adult Harry. Incredibly mature and cynical in some ways, and quite juvenile in others. His reactions are credible, his measures beautiful and even his flaws are perfectly consistent. Your descriptions of the people who lived without Harry around are vivid and believable, especially Ginny and Hermione. It must have been catharctic for Harry to tell Hermione how NOT to be an insufferable know-it-all.

Cynicism is often defined as the handicap of seeing things as they truly are.
