Fantastic story; the characterization of everyone is dead-on, and gives Mikoto the depth of character that she had so much unrealized potential in the game for. A good and believable plot, a writing style that's nothing short of excellent...this fic just wins in all catagories. Only slight problem I can see is that the sex seems a bit tacked-on to the plot (this is a very common problem--stories with sex in them tend to either be revolvant around it or have it superfluous). However, it's done with the same level of quality and literary skill that the rest of the story is, so it still works pretty well and isn't blatantly out of place in any way.
A must-read for any fan of FF9.
