I see he said he'd be on the train, not that he'd attend the school... wonder just how much complete and total devastation he'll cause en route.
/me can picture it now:
Hogwarts Express limps into Hogsmede station, the train cars only just still attached. The students all packed into the forward most train car and Harry at the other end of the train in an untouched compartment.
Lets face it, his wandless magic is pretty darn good considering what he was capable of in earlier chapters.
