I'd say he's a raven. Even if only for his need to look behind and or underneath everything, he believes /nothing without proof. I don't think he seeks knowledge, but proof of the why and how/, that's a small difference but it's distinct in it's reach -- knowledge without proof reminds me (personally) to much of religion to like it. This Harry /just seeks proof of what he has to learn anyway.
