Randomly turning a character into a baby or toddler for no good reason has never been a good idea. It takes all the interesting parts away from that character and it leads only to cliche plots that were boring when they were new. The only thing it accomplishes is to give the reader a cute mental image of a baby, and if that's all you want to do you'll do it much better with fanart.
