Review for Harry's New Pets

Harry's New Pets

Quite amusing. I can't see either Fleur's or Hermione's parents letting this continue once they find out, but I could see Luna insisting that Harry take her to Hogwarts as his 'pet'. And of course Fleur would be happy to tease Harry about it, knowing nothing would happen (at least for several years), while Hermoine is intrigued and maybe a little jealous of Luna. Just my thoughts on it.

Thank you!

Well, Fleur's parents are surprisingly understanding. Apolline is half-Veela, after all, and Gérard's four greats grandmother was a full Veela, so he has some understanding even aside from being married to a half-Veela. He doesn't see this as a twerp stealing his daughter, but more as what could have happened to him and Apolline, if they'd met as kids and circumstances had been different.

Hermione's parents will take some convincing, but in the end they'll be persuaded. Gérard will be a big help, there.

Luna, of course, is Harry's pet, and so far as she's concerned that's the end of it. And, being Luna, she's very good at making sure everyone else agrees that that's the end of it, also. And considering that she also sees Hermione and Fleur as Harry's pets, and that they agree, if their expression of that agreement is more subdued, well...

The idea of Harry and Luna together at Hogwarts whilst Hermione looks wistfully at them is interesting, but it would be torture for everyone concerned, including Fleur; Hermione loves Luna, and jealousy wouldn't be quite the right word, any road. Hermione might crack, take off her clothes, put on her collar, and insist she was Harry's pet in a way that even Luna would consider extreme; some might call that funny, but it would be a cruel scene, hurtful for everyone, and I wouldn't want to write it. Harry would probably hex Ron and Malfoy for laughing, take the rest of the term off in order to care for Hermione, and transfer all of them to Beauxbatons.

More likely the situation would end with McGonagall giving them one of the old married students' rooms after she finds them sleeping in a pile on the Gryffindor Common Room floor. Or with Madam Pomfrey ordering her to give them a room of their own after one or all of them collapse from exhaustion and stress.

Any road, I don't think I'll write it that way. Thanks again for reviewing!
