Excellent story! Loved Dan's sarcastic comments to McGonagall, and the ever changing nature of them, as she tried to explain things. I wonder if he'll be doing the same thing to Delacour?
But the interaction between the kids is wonderful, innocent, and funny. I expect a very embarrassing scene when Luna shows up naked in some situation. (I can remember being intensely curious about the naked female body in kindergarten, even though I had no idea about sex at the time).
Anyway, good story. Thanks for sharing it. Looking forward to more.

Thank you very much!
I'm having trouble working out Dan and Gérard's interaction--they do have an instinctive liking for each other, but Dan is still not happy, and there will have to be some sarcasm from him. Especially when Gérard explains that their children really have to be almost constantly in each others' company for the next month or better.

Thank you! It's a difficult situation, and I'm glad I've made it plausible and enjoyable. I'm trying to make it very clear that they're in a very real sense in love with each other, but keep it all age appropriate. And considering how long it's been since I've spent much time around kids of this age... well, it's a concern for me.

Exactly. And Luna... well, it's not sexual at all with her, but she does want to run about naked. She's so very convinced that she is a pet, and that there are rules for being a pet, and besides I'm suspecting that her parents were sort of hippies and she's sort of a naturist by instinct. I don't think she'd be as much mortified as confused, if somebody explained it to her. ("But... I don't want to do _grownup_ things with Master and my pet-sisters. We're not grownups! But what does that have to do with my having to wear clothes? I've heard grownups talking about sexy clothes, and I'm certainly not wearing any sexy clothes.")
Coupled with the fact that Harry is both curious and embarassed about it, that Fleur is French and a little more tolerant, and that Hermione was both raised to believe that there was absolutely nothing wrong with nudity except that nobody except Danes and primitive tribespeople ever went about without their clothes on... well, it will be awkward, as you said.
My original sketch for this had a scene where they did somehow get around the passport issue and show up in France, and Fleur's mother took her off for a conversation whilst the other three were handed over to Fleur's old nurse, who, of course, summarily spelled off their clothes and deposited them in a bath together. Luna was very concerned for Harry and Hermione--did their red faces mean they weren't feeling well? Could she scrub their backs for them? Why wouldn't they open their eyes?
Thanks again!
