Nice story, think I read it a while ago, but forgot about it, due to your long break in between post.
Just one comment though, owls do not fold their wings and dive to hunt, they have the softest wings, from what I know, and can fly so silently that their prey do not hear them approaching.
I like the taichi part though, but it might be better if Harry have done the pushing silently. Kind of more like a force, than using magic.
