I really do like this chapter! You're doing a great job with this story. I can see the point of those who argue that you should make Harry pick one or the other, but I tend to disagree, myself. I like the direction you're taking this.
Poor Dumbledore - now you've lost your pretty little Phoenix. Makes your leadership of the Order of the Phoenix kind of suspect, doesn't it?
Personally, I'm taking no bets on whether or not Dumbledore will actually learn from this. We'll see!
