An excellent opener, I must say. I thought I ought to comment, as I read up to chapter 10 in your story a while back, but lost my password to my account here, so I couldn't send a review. But I love it, and I especially like how you write in Eiko's point of view. Even making her thirteen years older, you still write in the best elements of her personality and I like that.
