I love fics that delve into Vincent's mind, especially interpretations like yours where he does more than wangst. I can totally see him wrapped up in his memories and calmly sketching gorey things like this, it's wonderfully spooky.

I try not to overdo the trauma thing, since I've seen how horribly out of control that sort of thing can get. Let me know if I start getting out of hand.
