Personally, I rarely, if ever, review the first chapter of a story, preferring to read a bit more and have an idea of how it will go.
However, this is an absolutely cracking first chapter. Entertaining, suitably dark and gothic yet still light-hearted enough to make me chuckle as the werewolves get slaughtered mercilessly (I'm sick like that).
