This is absolutely brilliant.
I've never been so intrigued by a story on this site- EVER- more than I am so by this one. I rated it "insightful" because, well, it is. It's different, so I wanted to call it original, but it's also exciting, so I wanted to rate it that, too, but then I decided that it's such a good representation of the emotional and mental struggle some poor, destroyed people [like your Gerard] have to expierience that I decided it's nothing if not insightful. You are a truly talented writer.
