The Face in the Pool

Good to see you back! And with an early Chistmas present for us! :-) I hope life has been treating you well.

I liked this method of reducing the epilogue to vapor, giving us 'our' Harry's response to what he saw. Marrying Ginny and Albus Severus, hee! :-) This is clearly the Harry of book 5, before the chest monster struck.

I kept thinking throughout the first part that Harry would express some gratitude to the pool entity, ask if it wanted freedom, et cetera. Still, I'm glad he 'bowed solemnly' and said 'thank you', rather than be quite the self-centred lad who accepted everyone's help - including Hermione's labours - in the last book with little appreciation.

Harry's rapid take-down of the DEs and Voldemort was a bit too sudden for me, but I guess this short story is going to be more about the relationships of the Six? Certainly that's what I'm most interested in, and you finished the chapter holding that in mind. Luna's watching and waiting was interesting. Ginny's fear makes perfect sense; she is the youngest. Hermione's knowing how Harry was thinking - and her desire to 'track him down' - was exactly in accordance with her canon character. Pre-HBP, that is.

Thank you for the new story! I do enjoy your work.
