To quote the great African philosopher and warrior Simba, "Slimy, yet satisfying." :)
I was wondering where you'd take this, and I do have to admit this is not was what I was expecting. There is something to be said for your theory that once the Horcruxes were undone, "Voldemort" was vanquished and it fell to the rest of magical Britain to deal with Tom Riddle. Dumbledore was, though, just way too easy, here. Not much of a protest when Harry stole his wand. Not much of a protest when Harry said, "screw you I'm outta here." It did feel rushed.
And Red's right...there should be a sequel to Training and Confrontations. He's not the only one who felt that the characters got screwed over there, and a little authorial justice would be nice.
I hope Harry's shaking the dust from his shoes is not a metaphor for your leaving HP fanfiction. I've always enjoyed your stuff. You, like Jeconais, have never been satisfied with writing the same thing over and over, and we have all benefited from that. Now he's leaving the fandom and you're on hiatus for a while at best. I hope inspiration strikes soon.
