Review for The Rising of the Wave

The Rising of the Wave

An intriguing, if very detail-obsessed opening. Interesting to see why our hero picked a green twin-blade, and we get hints about why his name is important.
There are small hints of larger story - Kite's ancestry seems to be important. Something related to 'Epitaph'? I do recall the main hero being a sort of "half breed", a sprite who cast a shadow.
I'll see if the fox and the dragon become important symbols later on.

Author's response

First of all, thank you very much for the review.

Secondly, um... You've read more into the details I insert than I ever intended. -laughs- Most of them were just to give a picture of who Kite was; they weren't necessarily intended to set up something later on. However, you've gotten me thinking, and I may wind up doing something with things like the fox and paralleling Kite to the Epitaph. So, thanks for that.

As for the detail-obsession, well... I really, really like details. I don't know why I do - I just... do. (Wow, that sounded intelligent, no?)

Anyway, thanks again for reading and reviewing!
