Hey Sas! I liked the way you wrapped it up because you kept it in the pace of the rest of the story and I still think the story itself was very comic-booky haha.
I don't know if you've read the first Umbrella Academy yet but if you haven't I think you might find some similarities with the pacing and wrap up at the end ... it all happened pretty quick - but not without some casualties.
And of course I liked how you threw in that last line with Hernandez too .... perfect "next series" set up.
xD

Thanks! I'm really glad you liked it, especially as you know MUCH more about this sort of thing than I do! I always worried that it was going to be over the top or not believable, but I guess it's kinda supposed to be - the whole premise is a little unlikely (only a little mind!) ;)
I have read the first Umbrella Academy and that ended shockingly quick! But with this, I knew it was always going to be a long lead up and a quick ending - after all, once he's got everyone ready to die, there wasn't really the opportunity to have a lengthy rescue. I was going for the feeling of a bit of a scramble, so I hope I got it.
Yeah, the last line seemed to fit. I always struggle to end stories and this seemed a good way. Also, I seem to have developed a bit of a habit of leaving stories open lately. It's not intentional, but I've done it a few times. Hey ho!
Thanks for the review, as ever!
