Despite the serious[ish]ness of this chapter, I totally fell off my loft-bed laughing when Gerard yelled at Ray saying "Don't wave! He can't see you, you clown-haired freak!" [or something of the sort] My ass is now in pain. ;-;
But ROAR! I want more. Now.
And I want to know what the thought of the blackmail 'deeply embedded' in his mind for it not to be paranoia.
Eep.
Author's response
Awww! I'm sorry! But I'm kinda laughing too!
The thing with Gerard and the blackmail, is that he truly believes the guys were blackmailing him to stay in the band (this refers back to the last 2 chapters of Such Bad Boys) with some video footage of him doing 'something bad' that would have him jailed. He's since been told that the evidence he keeps talking about that they were supposedly blackmailing him with, doesn't exist and never did - once by Bob and now by Simmons. His paranoia won't let him believe it and is in fact imagining it's a trick of some sort.
Of course the irony being, he was eventually arrested because of some video footage of him doing 'something bad'.
He's very messed up.
Thanks for reviewing! I'll be starting work on Chapter 3 today.
