oh my gosh it woul be totally epic if you did what mooshyne said except for when he went to the grave he gets a "realization" That it's wrong to be going out with his dead wifes daughter. Then he should go back home leaving nothing but a quick note being like "I can't do this bye" She falls into the clasps of deppresion again but this time she doesn't go back
...until the sequel (cue dramatic sound effects) Lets say a few years pass and she graduates and she hasn't ever gotten over gerard and then she decides that she has to see him and she does.
Then she drives over to the house and finds out that gerard is engaged (or has a long term gf, whatever works best for the story) and is totally heartbroken...but gerard doesn't want to let her go yet so they talk and hang out again and slowly but surely he realizes that his heart belongs to nicole no matter what.
It also wouldn't be bad to have some SOC from nicole somewhere between "totally heartbroken" and "Gerards realization"
lol, I don't know I've been awake for the past 32 hours studying and taking tests and I can't sleep...so please excuse all of my spelling errors and crazyness. lol
Love your story, and sorry for the lengthly review (been doing a lot of those lately)
