Good, because it's brain-breaking in the way that an Itachi fic should be. It's interesting that Itachi focuses on his mother as the one who pushed him, rather than his father (who was focused on in the manga, anyway; dunno about the anime). In a way it fits, since he was quiet as she seemed to be, but I'd have liked if there were a bit more about how precisely she inluenced and encouraged him. In spite of that, the last lines are still particularly effective ... the twisted humanity in the character is so clear.
