Review for Battered Hearts

Battered Hearts

I'm a Ron Weasley fan. He's a sweetheart of a dope with a heart the size of all outdoors, so I had to assume that either the Ron that was abusing Hermione wasn't really Ron--OR--he was under some outside sinister influence.

But...I'm a bit confused. Did Ron commit suicide after killing Ginny...or did someone else? Perhaps the force that possessed Ron? I'm assuming that by that time, Hermione had passed out...

There's something about Neville's attitude here that bothers me. Sure, he's a good friend and he was there for Hermione and angry with Harry for being so detached, but I was a bit taken aback by the wicked mood swing.

The Book of Harmony, eh? Never read that particular book of scripture... But hey, I'll give it a read. :)

I haven't read this before, so just let me say that you've both done a fine job so far. EXCELLENT and best wishes to GuitarGurl.

Author's response

Believe it or not, I like Ron too; I just can’t see him with Hermione for the above stated reasons. I like Ron with Lavender, or Pavarti, or almost anyone other than Hermione. In this story Ron hasn’t exactly been himself; possession by a truly evil magical creature will do that for you.

Neville is a good guy here as well; he loves Harry, his brother from another mother and pines for Hermione in his own way.
The clues are there as to who killed Ron, the identity of his killer will be revealed in a later chapter.
I’m sure GG reads these reviews, but on her behalf let me say thanks for your kind words of encouragement. The original story was her idea, I just helped her flesh it out. Everything after chapter 9 is all my responsibility, so blame me. . .
