Okay, I can see how you said that Harry's new mentors will stay on the periphery of this story if Harry's going to end up back at Hogwarts. I find myself rather looking forward to seeing how just he and his friends might fare in the Hogwarts setting - taking on Dumbledore and Snape and so forth on their own terms. Looking forward to Harry exercising these 'head of house' priviliges! I'd like to know the full details of the two agreements and those conditions to which Dumbledore felt he could not agree.
I like Harry's promise to save Hermione - of course - although (at this stage, anyway!) he's still best mates with Ron too, right? Still, he does mention how Hermione is an even bigger target because she's muggle-born, so I guess that's okay. Ron's firmly embedded in wizarding society and is pretty safe there.
If this is happening at the end of Harry's 4th year then he doesn't even know Luna yet, right? :-(
