I reread this a day after you posted, and to me it was a grand mesh of both stories and of mature Harry going out to the stars while also thinking of where the rest of the magicals were.
Kim was the perfect ACC in that she was there as a plot device and did her job in achoring Harry through his teen years.
Pete will be back as well as Winona and Jim too.
I wonder how a Magical would fare not just on Vulcan but Kronos as well. Imagine a Kligon battling a Wizard Warrior!

I'm glad that you like it. While this whole story just seems to be flowing out of me, I can tell you its been a bear trying to get this to be fairly realistic to both universes. Needless to say, there are chapters further down the line that are currently being hashed out while points in the chapter I am writing, I may not have a clue as to where I am going. Surprisingly enough, everything seems to be meshing well for a first time shot at writing.
Pete, Winona and Jim will be back for appearances as necessary as will other characters from the Enterprise.
How Vulcans and Klingons will be addressed in much later chapters.
