Meanwhile, you have some very creative punishments, no killing and reversible, but clearly getting the message across. I wonder how long it'll take Dumbles et al. to realize that playing straight just might be the best way after all; but that'd be logical and wizards and logic don't seem to mix. The discussion Albus had with Hermione is guaranteed to trash her respect for him and his authority and drive her even closer to Harry; he likely couldn't have done more of a favor to Harry. I suspect Tommy-boy is going to find his big impressive act will not turn out near what he was hoping for.
