I might guess that most folks are saying "don't kill Gabby off!"
Uh, my thinking is that you should do whatever you think is right. If I were writing the story, I probably would this on a little more and then let her die in peace. Why? It's war, and that's what happens.
It isn't so much that Harry loses someone close, this time it is Ginny, Hermione and Susan. I think they need to be hit with the reality that is known as the "horror that is war."
I'm looking forwards to the confrontation with Snape. If he says that he told Dumbledore, oh, boy! The term "fireworks" would be an understatement.
