Good wrapup to a very entertaining tale. Did Sirius really master a second canine form?
I'm surprised not to see a few Bruces and Sheilas in those author-lists. That's okay; the comm-crystal in chapter 2 didn't open with "HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMEN", either.
I don't think AD's treatment was too harsh at all. His original (canon) master-plan for Harry was evil; even after Harry was Horcrux-free, AD kept scrabbling, however covertly, for some means of forcing Harry to heel. I think what broke AD in the end was being unable to reclaim Harry as a tool to advance his own agenda and reputation. AD was no longer needed, hadn't been for quite some time, and no longer could compel others to pretend to him that he was.
