First of all, the readers have to realize that this is your story. Unless you actually tell them that they can contribute, and give them something to contribute to, they have no say whatsoever. As far as I'm concerned, you're doing a great job. If they want to bitch and moan about it, then they can stop reading. No matter how many of them are petty enough to stop reading for some reason or another (I'm guilty of it myself, but only when people have Harry suddenly grow to like 6'10 in a month from a potion) you still have those that enjoy the story for what it is, and will keep reading. I know that I certainly will. Hell, I only started reading it because it featured Gabrielle and smut, but I got sucked in because it is a great story. Screw them, keep writing. I shall endeavor to make my next post as good as this story has been.
