This was an excellent piece. I always thought Lewis was extremely unfair to Susan (he misjudged women rather too much in his writings). Plus it was not logical to imagine that someone who had, in essence, lived to adulthood once already would actually forget the reality of it, and think it was a dream. I'm glad to read a story that puts a different, more realistic spin on Susan's experience, and actually provides a plausible and fair reason why she wouldn't have been part of the events of the final battle. This is a much better interpretation. Thank you!

Thank you! That was exactly my intention in writing it, so it's good to know someone else was bothered by Susan's end, and understood why I wanted to re-examine it.
