Ron is getting all the good lines in this story. ;-)
More suspicions being sown with Hermione not being allowed to take politics. I suppose Holly and Divination may be to set the way for eventual revelation of the prophecy (or part of it).

See, I don't feature Ron as this is a girl's story, but he still fulfills his function as comedic foil. All the same, one of my favorite lines is betwixt H&H:
"Hermione, do you have some special ability to control my cramps when I make fun of you?"
"Yes! You should be more respectful of me in the future."
Which was recently topped by the 'squick' speech in chapter 19. I'm so proud.
