Interesting enough chapter. It's good to know that the Mauraders' spirit has survived to the 23rd Century.

I think that the most significant part of this chapter is that Section 31 has been sniffing around Harry. I wouldn't put it past them to attempt coercion on Harry (threatening Hui or the magical community in San Fransisco). All for the 'greater good', of course. Harry will doubtless consider it a bitter irony how those words are always used by alleged good guys to make his life worse.

My worry is, if they can't get Harry, Section 31 may try to get to Voldemort. Think of what he achieved - near immortality and so many other things. This could easily get very nasty.

Author's response

I'm glad that you caught the reference to section 31's interest in Harry and Hui. I don't know if I'm going to go any further with it, but if I do in a later chapter, remember that Harry has an open hunting license to do whatever he wants to with any operative that tries anything to coerce him into that business. He could in theory kill the operative in the vilest way possible with absolutely no recriminations on his part, or he could be a lot more "creative".

As for Section 31 trying to get
Voldemort out of Hogwarts. They cant, nobody can. One thing that I hinted at was the wards around the castle getting more powerful the closer to the castle grounds you get. I'm leaving those wards as being positively lethal for anyone just before you get to the castle's grounds. That being said the only thing that can get through is a Phoenix and whoever it is carrying. The only Phoenix that anyone knows about is Fawkes. Do you honestly think he is going to help section 31 out?
