Well, if there's no secrecy then you've achieved the ultimate goal of making the reader see things through a character's eyes! I kept thinking - what're they up to?? Is he really just producing and helping them out... hmm!
Oh, I know what's bothering him, but he really needs to think it through. How could Patrick possibly know it would all go horribly wrong? If he knew that, he would never have invited them in the first place!
Poor Pete though. He's so upset, he's just lashing out. And you always lash out at the person you know will forgive you. He wants to be careful though - Patrick's been forgiving enough for one lifetime.
I will cheerfully wait however long it takes for the next chapter, because I know it'll be worth the wait!
