I just read it and found myself oddly fascinated and engrossed by it. A very interesting take on a story that has been done badly a number of times and correctly only a few.
Imagine my dissappointment when after absorbing 20 chapters I check the last update date and find it mroe than a year ago. From the reviews I see that you have checked in since then so I hope you get mine as well.
I hope you decide to update soon as from now on I will be checking in on the story often in that hope. I noticed you were asking for some ideas in an earlier post for the 4 part of the ritual. At this moment I have none for the ritual itself but training for it could include a deprivation of most magic during a set time period (e.g. no casting/usage of magical aids/potions/parchment/quills/etc. while still adhering to a normal school day, this both being a challenge and a chance to realize what must be sacrificed).
As for future involvemnts, I understand that Padma will get somewhat involved, if for a limited time, as Harry tries to get her to realize her preferences, but personally I am always partial to Luna. Iirc she is bi in the story, so an attraction to males is inherent in that. I could imagine Harry making use of Luna's help in the next part of the ritual (or at least the training, as her mind could create the most interesting and unexpected scenario's) much as Padma is helping in this phase. You could then use this to develope something between the two, obviously nothing long-term or even short term, just something (if that makes sense).
To finish, I'd just list to say: "please update" and that I hope you haven't moved from this story yet.
