Harry Potter and the Distaff Side

All I can say is R/W gender stereotypes are the rule not the exception. The idea of women looking down on men as physically inferior I.E. a “mere boy” is just plain stupid. In a fight 99 out of 100 15 year old boys could beat a 15 year old girl to death with his bare hands. In all but the most extenuating circumstances men are physically stronger than women and no amount of literary license can make the female characters that obtuse. Unless there is some underlying cause, some reason why your male characters defy nature, defer to abnormally aggressive women and subconsciously underperform, your story premise truly makes little sense.

Author's response

- There is an old saying that goes 'it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.'

- I am postulating a world where the female is the aggressive gender. All the strength in the world doesn't do a bit of good without the willingness to use it.

- This is my universe, it runs the way I want it to. The women of this universe are not 'abnormally aggressive' They are exactly what their god-creator (that's me) intended them to be.

- If this concept bothers you, I would suggest that you read something else, because I'm not changing it. It's sort of the whole point of the story.
