I did not know about the Magdalene Laundries. I was actually thing more about the Triangle Co. factory. Half the women who died there were children. There were also the shoe factories, in which many thousands of children were injured, maimed or even killed...all for profit. The upside to that was that the unions got a foothold.
I used 'Oliver' and 'Annie' because they were more easily recognizable examples.
