JEDI POTTER

Ah, Harry's now starting to "play" with the Dursleys and they have no idea that he's got the toys, connections, or means to truly mess with them; I suspect they are going to find a long succession of rude shocks (I'll give odds that some aspects, such as some of Vernon's shenanigans, will only need uncovering and Harry's got the wherewithall to do it - anyone care to bet that the goblins have the best forensic bookkeepers around and know -all- the dodges (probably invented most of them)? I rather suspect that just explaining that the dead Deeters were just so many masks and robes to be destroyed that he didn't realize he'd taken out Bella will get him off the hook with House Longbottom.

I rather like the "incentive" system Hermione has to bring him back as soon as possible. I'm rather looking forward to Kingsley trying to stop him and finding out just how potent the Force really is, even against trained and experienced Aurors (evil thought - Harry disengages all Albus' compulsions but leaves Kingsley with the memories of just what was done to him - reckon that'd cause still more headaches for Albus).

I think introducing the Force to those elves that can manipulate it is going to have very interesting repurcussions down the line, especially if some of the more hidebound purebloods can't match what the elves can do That makes arguements of superiority much, much less convincing.

Yeah, I can imagine what a subtly defective or dirty crystal would do when the full power of a high-energy laser (or equivalent beam) goes through it and sets up huge thermal stresses; that's when you want the lens well away from any people.

Oh, and I'll agree with the others that sending that package to Severus was a very nice touch, especially since Tom will so powerfully show his appreciation, too.

I'm looking forward to the Wizengamot session as Albus finds that he doesn't hold near as many cards, let alone high cards, as he thought he did. His expression when he realizes the block, or combined blockx, he's dealing with should be -quite- entertaining, at least to those who harbor some ill will against him. What'll be even funnier is if he afterwards tries to force Harry into following his will and finds just how much Harry is beyond his control or knowledge. It could be argued, though, that this scene is best reserved for a later confrontation.

Author's response

The Dursleys are going to be in the dark until it's time to return to Britain. When they check out of their hotel, they're going to learn they cannot pay the bill. the Spanish are not going to like that! The fire investigation is only the first part. each new discovery will lead to another.

I can see Vernon skimming, but in this case, he's going to be 'mostly' innocent. Unfortunately(for him) that's not what other people are going to see.

~/I rather suspect that just explaining that the dead Deeters were just so many masks and robes to be destroyed that he didn't realize he'd taken out Bella will get him off the hook with House Longbottom./~

That's almost word-for-word how I'd decided to handle that little problem.

Are you reading my mind?

Incentive or no, Harry has an errand before returning from the Wizeacregamot meeting. Still, he'll be collecting his 'reward'.

Shack's compulsions will be dealt with by a force more powerful than the force...MWAHAHAHAHA!

...and Albie is gonna have headaches coming from all sides, real soon.

While the force wielding elves is a nice twist, there will only be one who can use it in combat. Dobby is a sport...a genetic throwback to the earlier woods elves, only not entirely. He is more than capable of harming a human in the defense of his master. Most elves are not able to take independent action.(as I described with Tootles.) Still there is hope for the future.

I see you understand my point about the crystals entirely. I've seen the results of such an explosion.

Snape is going to have a hard decision ahead of him. "Hmmm, Do I deliver these to my psychotic master and guarantee a rousing round of 'let's torture Severus', or do I destroy them here and hope he never finds out, which if he did, would also guarantee a rousing round of 'let's torture Severus'?

During the meeting, Albie will be the kid with his face pressed against the window...literally. It will be during the meeting that he understands that he no longer has any control over the BWL. Worse, he's going to find that it's a question of mind over matter. Harry no longer minds, because Albie no longer matters. As for his ongoing troubles, remember, he still has an audit coming up.

BWAH! BWAH! BWAHA! BWAHAHA!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Until next week. Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel.
