About the numbers in Magical Britain, I always wondered why the movies show Hogwarts filled with students when the books show how small the classes are. If I remember right, Harry's year has about 40-50 students. Considering Hogwarts is supposed to pull from all of the UK (and JKR didn't mention the "Saint" schools) that is pathetic! I like how fics like this try to come up with a plausible reason for this. Plus it also backs up the books in that there seems to be buckets of empty classrooms in Hogwarts.
