You really have a talent for exploring character in these small moments. You characterizations feel very "real" and not overly melodramatic/wangsty, which is a difficult balance to pull off. Writing stories in which there is almost no action and everything hinges on emotional movement is very hard for me personally, so I appreciate when I read it.
