Review for JEDI POTTER

JEDI POTTER

I liked the present Ginny gave him, and the information behind it. Methinks that Albus has managed, by his manipulations, to convert firm allies into equally firm, though more implacable, enemies. That may well end up being a prime piece of "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory", though I suspect there's enough building against him that it'd be more like "from the jaws of truce".

It will be both interesting and amusing to see what new things the Twins develop after being exposed to what the Force can do; Minerva may shudder at the thought .

y'know, Albus has left enough ticked-off folk in his wake that if they were to all gang together, he wouldn't stand a chance (and that's without Gellert joining that group, assuming he's still around in this universe.

It's said that "pride goeth before a fall" and, considering that Dumbles' pride is already being carefully chipped away at, methinks his fall will be spectacular and rather entertaining.

Author's response

Heya Cat. Thanks again.

I thought the present was rather poetic mesel'. More, it's entirely within Dumbledore's character.

Ain't it interesting how a little information can do so much damage?

I detest lies. A lie is the worst sort of betrayal, in my eye. My daughter will tell you that the thing I will invariably punish her for, is lying to me. I'll let her get away with a lot, but never that.

Albus has lied to so many people for so long, he probably feels that whatever he says is automatically the truth. That's why he clings so desperately to his 'greater good'. He cannot imagine any other way to justify his crimes.

Quite honestly, so would I! Can you imagine the havoc they'd cause using the force? I'll address that particular character aspect on Mabon, in two chapters.

Problem is, while those wronged, would instinctively follow Dumbledore's ideals of eternal redemption, Harry will not. If they get him he'll end up in prison until he finds or buys a way out. Harry's way is much nastier.

Gellert is dead. He's a stiff! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! He's pushing up daisies, his metabolic processes are now history! He's off the twig!

He's kicked the bucket, He's shuffled off this mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible!!

He's an ex-dark lord...

That said, I will not be using anything from either book sux, or book sux part deux. (unless I already have in which case, 'twas an accident.)

Yeaop, Dumbledore is going to fall and he's going to fall hard. Following the old formula, he's going to lose everything he holds of value, one bit at a time, before the end. But Harry is not going to kill him. He promised.

He's got something better in mind.

Until next time...
