Poor Harry, his brain's clearly scrambled.
He's smart enough to realise he can't trust Dumbledore, but doesn't ask why he'd never heard of Remus Lupin untill his 3rd year at Hogwarts, nor does he think it's odd that everybody knows about his abusive home life but doesn't actually do anything.
