Very nice premise, I can see a very good story coming of this.
HOWEVER, this chapter feels to me like you just info dumped 2 or 3 chapters worth of story into a single chapter. Heck there are several sections of this chapter that could be fleshed out into whole chapters.
Moving the story along is fine, but please, please don't rush it.
