Damn this is good stuff. Wish I was as fluid with words as Cat the reviewer is, but, alas I'm not. I am a marginal Star Wars fan, and a rabid HP fan. The characters can be out of canon, as long as it makes the story believable in the long run. That's how I think.

Cateagle and Teresa are two of my most in-depth reviewers but I appreciate all the reviews I get. Even those who don't like my work tell me things I can use to improve my writing.
Technically everything in Fanon is out of character, because JKR didn't write the stories. I suppose it could go either way. I do, however try to keep the characters true as possible to their canon personalities, unless it's necessary to the plot.
Then, all bets are off.
