Once again, yet another excellently written chapter. I'm also glad to see continuity in the style of writing and some regularity in the posting schedule so far. Of course, I'd rather wait a few days to see something that's ready than a rushed chapter.
Seems to me the Dursley's got off very light, and I don't think Vernon in particular will take the warning to heart. He seems to be the kind that will require pain for any true learning. I'm just curious of how long it will take him to work himself back up to challenging the presence of a "freak and harlot" in his house.
It's going to to be interesting seeing where Remus goes in this fic. He's obviously unhappy with how Harry's situation has been handled by the order, and he's even willing to help Harry keep the bond's presence secret for a wile. But Remus does owe a tremendous amount to Dumbledore, so I wonder how he'll respond if his questions regarding Harry's situation do not produce substantive answers. If he has to choose sides in Harry v Dumbledore, which way will he fall?
Looking forward to some more focus on Harry's Power and Bond with Gabby in the next chapter. How much will they be able to work on magic practice without tipping off the Ministry?
